Abstract

This paper proposes a guaranteed cost proportional-derivative (PD) feedback strategy for synchronizing master–slave variable fractional-order Lur'e systems (VFOLSs) when the systems are subject to input time delays. The design ensures both asymptotic convergence and a guaranteed upper bound on the cost performance. Based on linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) and the Lyapunov–Krasovskii stability approach, sufficient criteria for synchronization are presented. The effectiveness of the proposed control approach is demonstrated via simulation results, which also confirm its practical applicability.
